If you are your friends want to join in the fancy dress fun this Halloween, but you’re not interested in a full fancy dress costume, don’t worry – there are lots of great masks to choose from.

However, with such a wide range of Halloween masks it’s understandable if you’re feeling spoiled for choice. So, to give you and your friends a helping hand when choosing what mask you’d like to wear, here are a few tips and suggestions.

Can’t Decide What To Wear? Head To Smiffys-Liverpool

  • Terrifying Clowns

Clown masks are a great suggestion for groups. There are lots of scary clowns from film and television that can help inspire your choice. This means that each member of the group can choose a different mask, whilst still following the Halloween fancy dress theme.

This includes masks ranging from monstrously terrifying to playful spooky fun. So you’ll be able to find a mask to suit the style of each group members. For example, the sinister Scary Clown Mask, or the more thematic Day Of The Dead Clown Mask.

  • Super Heroes

Comic book universes have lots of different super hero and super villain team-ups; as such they’re a fantastic place to find inspiration for group costumes. For example, you could look at a hero team-up such as The Avengers and Justice League, however if you’re feeling more villainous, how about super villain team-ups such as the Legion of Doom.

However, comic book universes offer a diverse range of characters, so you don’t have to opt for a hero or villain team, you could create your own group costume based from different comic book series. For example, if you are your friends are fans of the Batman series, you could all dress up as Batman villains such as The Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane, The Riddler, and Poison Ivy.

  • Vampires

There are lots of fun group possibilities for vampire group costumes, mostly due to the variety found within vampire fiction and folklore. For example, vampires based around the European folklore of vampire such as Dracula or the Buffy The Vampire Slayer universe created by Joss Whedon. Alternatively, for those searching for some slightly different inspiration could look to the Mesoamerican vampire myths of the culebra, which can be found in the Dusk Till Dawn universe which has recently been adapted into a TV series on Netflix.

With such a variety of different vampires to take inspiration from, you and your friends can all wear a selection of different vampire mask, creating a coven of unique and wonderful vampires.

Our Liverpool fancy dress shop has lots of fun vampire accessories to choose from to help you and your friends create awesome costumes for the Halloween party. For example, you could choose a product such as the Vampire Brow 3D FX Transfer which uses technology that garnered Tinsley Transfers an Academy Award for Technical Achievement. The vampire brow is a revolutionary new prosthetic that is easy to apply and self blending, with no need for any glues or other messy adhesives. However, if you’re looking for something simpler to add to your vampire fancy dress, we have a selection of vampire fangs and teeth, fake blood, and numerous other accessories.

  • Celebrities

If you want something simple to organise a group costume with friends, celebrity masks are a great way to enjoy the fancy dress fun without a complex fancy dress costume. You could even co-ordinate it with your friends to create a group costume. For example, you could all wear masks of footballers, creating a football theme, or perhaps you could all wear masks of politicians?

  • Funny Costumes

If you’re attending a party with young children guests, it’s important that you make sure that your costume isn’t too scary for these younger individuals. As such, you might consider wearing a funny costume or mask instead of a scary one. One such example could be an emoji mask, such as the poop emoji. This is sure to get lots of laughs. Did you know that Sir Patrick Stewart voiced the poop emoji in The Emoji Movie? So if you’re entertained by the idea of wearing a poop emoji mask, it might be a fun idea to practice a Sir Patrick Stewart impression so you can bring the hilarious character to life.
