Every year the United Kingdom celebrates World Book Day on the first Thursday of March. In 2019, it will be the 7th of March, and in 2020 it will be the 5th of March. The aim of the celebration is to encourage children to read; providing them with the opportunity to own a book of their own through the use of National Book Tokens Ltd.

Suggestions For World Book Day Fancy Dress

    Another fantastic story from Walliams is The Boy in the Dress. This book is about a boy called Dennis who one day decides to wear a dress under the alter ego of “Denise”. Similar to other items of fiction written by David Walliams, this story is a fantastic book to educate younger readers about cross-dressing and how it is not something that somebody should be ashamed of.
